The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency released a funding announcement for 2017/2018 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Single Solicitation Local Initiatives on January 2, 2018. The mandatory e-grants application deadline is March 26, 2018.
All applications for Philadelphia-based projects require a Local Jurisdiction Waiver from Philadelphia’s Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB) as part of the application submission. CJAB can only support one application for each of 9 categories outlined in the solicitation. The Philadelphia Criminal Justice Advisory Board Grants subcommittee has developed a new form to make it easier to communicate with organizations interested in CJAB support. The Letter of Support Request form is available here. For the JAG competitive grant funding, the Grants Subcommittee is requiring interested organizations complete the form by 2/20. The CJAB grants subcommittee will use information submitted through the form to make recommendations as to which project(s) Philadelphia will put forth.
For other funding opportunities, CJAB requests that organizations interested in obtaining a letter of support complete the form at least 2 weeks in advance (of application due date).
