Last week, the Philadelphia Reentry Coalition had its 2019 Winter Stakeholder Meeting. The meeting kicked off with highlights of new Coalition resources: a flier that includes information about education options for Philadelphia’s returning citizens (from our Education Subcommittee), our new 2019 Training Calendar, and our Navigating Existing Housing Resources Flowchart and Guide (the development of which was supported by our Housing Subcommittee).
After the new resources were presented, Bruce Johnson, the Director of Prevention Diversion and Intake at the City's Office of Homelessness Services, gave a presentation on the Prevention and Diversion route of OHS services.
Our fourth Stakeholder Showcase, focused on housing resources in Philadelphia, featured 11 presenters, 9 of which were housing providers or services and two of whom were new coalition members. The complete list of presenters can be found below.
1. Redemption Housing
2. Veteran's Multi-Service Center

6. IMPACT Services Workforce Development and Reentry Department

The meeting wrapped up with several announcements about the Reentry Month, including the on-boarding of 5 reentry month fellows and a call to generate event ideas for The Coalition's third year of participation in Reentry Month!
