
The Manager, Federal Workforce Policy will lead CEO’s efforts to engage federal officials and legislators, advocating for policies that make federal workforce programs more accessible to people coming home from incarceration.
Specifically, the Manager, Federal Workforce Policy will develop and implement a strategy that aims to increase funding and revenue for individuals affected by federal and state policies related to public benefits. This will involve promoting the utilization of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding to support re-entry employment services and monitoring/influencing/advocating for relevant legislation at both the federal and state levels.
This position is ideal for an individual interested in combining advocacy work with serving as an in-house expert on the implementation of SNAP E&T and WIOA in ways that benefit formerly incarcerated people. We’re looking for an individual who enjoys working individually and as part of a broader policy team to disseminate information and opportunities associated with federal workforce programs to program leadership at CEO.
