This year's awards are as follows:
OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AND ACCOMPLISHMENT Award:
This award recognizes an individual who returned to the community from incarceration at least 5 years ago, who has affected change in policy or excelled in a leadership role in the area of criminal justice reform.
REENTRY STAR OF THE YEAR Award: This award recognizes a formerly incarcerated individual who within the past 5 years has reintegrated into the community and is an example of successful reentry by working towards the goals they set for themselves (such as finding and/or maintaining employment or taking steps towards a specific career path), and making contributions to family, kin, neighbors, and/or the community at large.
RISING LEADER OF THE YEAR Award: This award recognizes an individual who has returned to the community from incarceration within the last 5 years, who is affecting change in policy or excelling in a leadership role in the area of criminal justice reform.
REENTRY ORGANIZATION/PARTNERSHIP OF THE YEAR Award: This award recognizes an organization or partnership that is led by people with lived experience, that helps create a network of support for people who have been incarcerated.
ALLY OF THE YEAR Award: This award recognizes an individual or organization that exemplifies allyship by using their position and/or influence to help create opportunities for people with lived experience, and/or exceeded expectations in the area of reentry by being innovative, resourceful, and a positive role model. (Lived experience is not required).
