Philadelphia’s MacArthur Safety and Justice Challenge is establishing a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) that will serve as a bridge to local communities and create a dialogue about criminal justice reform in Philadelphia.
The MacArthur Safety and Justice Challenge is a collaborative reform effort among the local criminal justice partner agencies to safely reduce the size of the local jail population and reduce racial, ethnic, economic disparities in the criminal justice system.
The CAC will consist of volunteer members from the Philadelphia communities who are either directly impacted or have significant experience in the criminal justice system, ages 18 and up. The application will launch today and be open until July 26, 2019
