This grant program is inviting proposals from state and local government agencies or federally recognized tribal entities to serve as model sites of probation and/or parole (community corrections) partnerships with law enforcement and/or prosecuting agencies to reduce violent crime and recidivism among people under the supervision of community corrections.
Three sites will be selected to receive awards of up to $500,000 each to:
(1) participate in an ISI Model Site Advisory Committee to inform the development of a publication that guides future community corrections partnerships with law enforcement and/or prosecuting agencies and
(2) expand or improve their existing partnerships over the course of a 23-month project period.
For this grant program, CSG Justice Center staff will work with their project partners—the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, the National Association of Probation Executives, the National Police Foundation, and George Mason University’s Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence—to learn from the model site partnerships’ operations and outcomes, glean information to develop the aforementioned publication, and assist model sites in improving or expanding their operations.
