Request for Letters of Interest for Innovative Homelessness Prevention and Diversion Activities for Families
The Office of Homeless Services is seeking Letters of Interest from not-for-profit organizations interested in piloting innovative approaches for prevention and diversion activities to assist households who would be literally homeless “but for” this assistance.
OHS intends to fund innovative projects that will have a 21 month pilot period to allow for start up, roll out, and preliminary evaluation of effectiveness. Funding is being made available through this request for Fiscal Year 2020, which ends June 30, 2020. While they cannot commit or contract for the FY21 component under this solicitation, they anticipate being able to make funding available in FY21.
OHS is providing up to $300,000 for families for this period. The funding is from the City General Fund. They are targeting the start up date as October 1, 2019 and seek to award funding to 2-3 projects.
Letters of Interest are due via email on Monday, September 6, 2019, by close of business, to: Roberta.Cancellier@phila.gov, Bruce.K.Johnson@phila.gov.
Selections will be made in consultation with the Family Service Provider Network.
