Pathways to Advanced Manufacturing Program

 

 

The Pathways to Advanced Manufacturing program prepares participants for entry-level employment in the advanced manufacturing industry. The program includes classroom and hands-on technical skills instruction.

 

This program includes the following courses:

  • Occupational Safety & Heaklth administration: OSHA 10, General Industry (10 hours)

  • Shop Mathematics: math for Occupational Technologies (45 Hours)

  • Blueprint Reading: Print Layouts & Measuring for Machining (45 Hours)

  • Introduction to Welding Technology (18 Hours)

  • Introduction to Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Precision Machining (44 Hours)

  • DC-AC Electricity (44 Hours)

  • Electrical Wiring (57 Hours)

  • Mechanical Aptitude Test Overview (18 Hours)

  • Winning Work Habits (12 Hours)

 

Upon completion of the program, participants will earn an OSHA 10 certification and are enrolled to take the following nationally recognized certification examinations: national Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) examinations for Job Planning, Benchwork & Layout, and Measurement, Materials & Safety; The Association for Packaging and Processing technologies (PMMI) Mechatronics Certification Test - Industrial Electricity 1.

 

This program is for:

  • Out of School Youth

  • Low Income Individuals

  • Citizens with Disabilities

  • Ex-Offenders

  • Unemployed or Underemployed Individuals

 

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Math and English Assessment

  • Mechanical Aptitude Test

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
