OHS and DBHIDS Seeking Proposals for SRO Housing for People Vulnerable to COVID

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Homeless Services, in collaboration with the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, is now soliciting interest from not-for-profit organizations to supply and/or operate a Single Room Occupancy program, SRO-Philadelphia. The program seeks to provide a temporary housing opportunity for individuals who are experiencing homelessness and who have health conditions making them susceptible to COVID-19.

SRO-Philadelphia seeks to provide temporary housing in a non-congregate sleeping environment for 250 vulnerable individuals who are experiencing homelessness. This will allow individuals to live independently with support in a single room, decreasing the possibility that they will contract COVID-19.

The full RFP is now available online.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through December 31, 2020 at 5 p.m. Submissions received by August 14 will receive priority consideration for the first phase, which will begin in the fall.
