Join PRC for part one of a two- part training series on putting racial equity into practice in Philadelphia’s criminal justice system, facilitated by the Office of Criminal Justice. Part 1 will provide an overview of the policies, trends, and cultural narratives that created a racialized system of mass incarceration in Philadelphia and across the country. This training will give attendees the historical foundation needed to unpack structural racism in Philadelphia - and to start building new, more just systems.
Part 2 will focus specifically on tackling racism in the field of reentry. It will give attendees tools to operationalize their commitment to racial equity in their day-to-day work. This training is designed to go beyond “having the conversation” to truly creating more equitable outcomes in reentry.
Please note: Attendance is limited to 100 people.
