
Drexel is accepting applications for their Drexel University Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice Community Health Worker / Certified Peer Specialist Training! Attached is a flyer about this paid job training program for young adults, ages 18-24. This program is a good fit for young adults impacted by violence or trauma who want to use their experiences to become healers and helpers in their communities and enter the human service field.
Minimum requirements for eligibility include:
Philadelphia resident
Age 18-24
HS diploma or GED
Not currently enrolled in school this semester
Lived experience of violence (to themselves or someone close to them)
Vaccinated/ or willing to receive COVID-19 vaccination by April 4, 2022*
Willing to commit to 165 hours of training over 9 weeks
PARTICIPANT PAYMENT and a FREE CHROMEBOOK laptop are provided to those accepted into the program.
