
Beyond Literacy announces KEEP Pre-Apprenticeship opportunity, in collaboration with the Energy Coordinating Agency, focused on recruiting justice-involved individuals without a high school diploma into energy related jobs focused on weatherization and energy efficiency. A brief summary of the opportunity is included below as well as the promotional flyer that is attached.

Once an applicant completes the online application, the Director of Workforce Development will reach out to them and schedule an assessment date.
The K.E.E.P. (Keystone Energy Employment Pipeline) Pre-apprenticeship program provides the opportunity for participants, who may be justice-involved, without a high school diploma to earn national recognized credentials while participating in classes in preparation for the GED assessments. Participants are assigned a Student Support Coordinator who can provide referrals to review recruitment materials, update resume, prepare for scheduled interviews, assist with attaining identification, and many other social service needs.
K.E.E.P. participants engage in training that includes trade skills such as carpentry, air sealing, insulation, dry wall, electrical installation and plumbing. All participants will be given a new laptop computer with hotspot with six months’ worth of free internet access, breakfast and lunch will be served, and a $50 cash stipend will be given to all participants at the end of each week.
