Community College of Philadelphia is currently recruiting participants for the final cohorts of our Career Readiness Soft-Skills Pre-Apprenticeship Program for this school year. These programs are free for participants, and prepare them for entry into employment, or further study or Apprenticeship in a field of their choice.
The Career Readiness Soft Skills (CRS) Pre-Apprenticeship Program provides participants with a strong foundation in the application of workplace skills, including communication, teamwork, work habits, life skills, and budget basics. A basic math refresher is also included to reintroduce key math concepts needed for success in the workplace. Participants who are successful completers of the Career Readiness Soft Skills Pre-Apprenticeship program will have the soft skills and basic literacy and math skills required for entry level employment and/or entry into a Registered Apprenticeship Program. All sessions of this program will be held online. We will be able to secure loaner computers for students who need access to technology. The dates for the remaining cohorts are as follows: Day Program: (9 AM - 12 Noon) - May 3 - June 15 Evening Program: (6 - 9 PM) - May 10 - June 22 Classes are held on Monday - Thursday for both sessions.
