Does Your Organization Work with People Who Have Been Impacted by the Childline Registry?

Community Legal Services is currently working on advocacy to challenge PA's Childline Registry, where people accused of child abuse or neglect are placed without a hearing and then are barred from working in a number of different fields including child care and healthcare. In our experience at CLS, it is often for incidents that involve circumstances of poverty or accidental injuries. These cases can often intersect with dependency cases in family court and sometimes criminal cases as well. We are looking to speak with community organizations who have seen the impact of the Registry on the people they serve, through barriers to employment, volunteering with kids, or any other harms caused.

Please contact Jamie Gullen at JGullen@clsphila.org if you have any experience with this and would be willing to have a short phone call!
