Eastern State Penitentiary is hiring for the following positions:
Build Crew: Start ASAP to Sep. 24th. All phases of build and show set-up. Standard summer
hours are 8am-5pm. Some evening work is required. Build Crew members assist the Senior
Tech Managers (Construction, Entertainment, Art, and Lighting) in completing the Scope of
Work.
Show Techs: Approx. Sep 7th to Nov. 24th. Show Techs are responsible for troubleshooting,
maintenance, repair, and operation of the show once it is up and running. Show Techs begin by assisting with assembling temporary structures and outdoor lighting install followed by intensive training. Shifts rotate weekly once the show is open: day (10am-7pm), mid (noon to 9pm), show (5pm to possible 2am close). Tech crew positions maintain the high standards that Eastern State Penitentiary requires in order to provide visitors with a safe and enjoyable experience.
The ideal candidates possess the following skills:
Carpentry
General tool knowledge and use (drills, saws, screw guns, ladders, levels)
OSHA 10 certification (ESPHS will provide this training if needed)
Tech crew members must routinely carry loads of up to 50lbs.
Candidates must follow safety standards, be punctual, have a positive attitude, and be good team players.
Wages start at $18/hour and are based on experience and skillset.
All staff must be 18 years old or older, sign a non-disclosure agreement as well as no-compete
