The FY 2023 Second Chance Act Community-Based Reentry Program solicitation is now available.


Description

Through this opportunity, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) seeks applications for funding from community-based nonprofit organizations and federally recognized tribal governments to enhance or implement evidence-based responses to improve reentry, reduce recidivism, and support successful transitional planning for individuals who are currently, or were formerly, involved in the criminal justice system.

Eligible Applicants:

  • Native American tribal governments (federally recognized)

  • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education


OJP encourages applicants to review the “How To Apply” section in the OJP Grant Application Resource Guide and the JustGrants website for more information, resources, and training. Applicants should maintain all receipts and confirmations received from SAM.gov, Grants.gov, JustGrants systems.
