The Latinx in Finance Training Program is a great new program that is being offered in Philadelphia and the surrounding communities. The Latinos in Finance program is a bilingual banker training implemented by local, community-based organizations; Goodwill Southern New Jersey & Philadelphia.
The program has multiple goals:
o Embed a culturally competent entry-level staff in banking communities across the U.S.
o Allow banks and credit unions to better serve Latinx customers via culturally and linguistically competent staff
o Launch graduates into lifelong career pathways in the commercial banking or finance industries
With generous sponsorship and support from JP Morgan Chase & Co., and UnidosUS, Goodwill is able to offer this program to residents in Philadelphia at their Parkside Training Center. Even better, Comcast is allowing Goodwill to enhance their services by providing gratis laptops for the program participants. Even better than a FREE laptop is FREE tuition. Participants can choose remote instruction or in-person.
