Over the years many companies have created policies that exclude individuals with a criminal record from accessing job opportunities. However, in the current economy where the demand for workers exceeds the supply, many companies are exploring Second (Fair) Chance hiring opportunities. Fair Chance hiring is an approach where companies change policies, make accommodations to hire, or prioritize the hiring of individuals with a criminal record.
In this webinar we will hear from three companies that practice Fair Chance hiring. We will learn what motivates them to take this approach, and the unique benefits and challenges of Fair Chance hiring. The session will challenge companies to consider the impact of leveraging this form of social responsibility while exploring the business case for Fair Chance hiring. This session will also inform community-based organizations that want to support companies in implementing Fair Chance hiring practice with proven methods, strategies and insights from current Fair Chance employers.
