Ladies Empowerment and Action Program Entrepreneurship Academy Now Recruiting


The Ladies Empowerment and Action Program is dedicated to teaching formerly incarcerated women how to realize their dream of owning their own business. This is a twelve-week course that meets twice a week for three hours. Ladies will learn the basics of how to start, run, and grow a business for less than $1,000. They will learn how to write a business plan, how to operate, market, and manage a business, and how to present their business idea to family, friends, and future investors. At the end of the course, ladies will participate in a formal pitch competition before a panel of successful entrepreneurs who stand ready to help launch their company. Students who complete all course work, writing a formal business plan, program graduates will receive the following benefits: • Entrepreneur coach to mentor you through the startup of your new company. • Marketing coach to help you establish a business website and email. • Eligibility to apply for a micro-loan of up to $1,000 to start your company. • Opportunity to compete in a business pitch competition for cash prizes. The LEAP Entrepreneurship Program is free! The program is scheduled to begin on September 7th 2021. Classes will be conducted online via ZOOM on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time Zone).
