Liberation Foundation Looking to Hire Part Time Small Group Facilitator

The Liberation Foundation is looking to hire a formerly incarcerated person (or someone with reentry experience) to serve as a small group facilitator for our Project HOPE reentry preparation programming.

They would be required to facilitate four small group sessions/month, sixteen sessions in total. Programming runs every other Tuesday morning via Zoom, so it would be necessary for them to be free then. We are able to assist as needed with technology. Facilitators are also required to attend biweekly meetings with the Project HOPE team. Facilitators may also be asked to review recordings of the “lecture” sessions to familiarize themselves with the material ahead of the small group sessions.

Facilitators are principally responsible for facilitating group discussions, not necessarily teaching the material. Most of our current small group facilitators are formerly-incarcerated themselves. They would be happy to speak with prospective facilitators too.

Pay: The position is part-time, and small group facilitators will receive a stipend of $2,000 for their work, paid via check.

About the Program

Project HOPE is a reentry preparation program operated by The Liberation Foundation. Founded by Terrance Lewis, Project HOPE aims to provide currently-incarcerated Pennsylvanians with the support necessary to have a smooth reentry process. The program covers the basics of reentry planning, from housing and employment, to accessing healthcare and education. All programming is run on Zoom. Programming for our next cohort starts December 13, with facilitating sessions starting on Dec. 20.
