MacArthur Safety and Justice Challenge Accepting Applications for Community Advisory Committee

The role of the Safety and Justice Challenge Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is to support and contribute to the implementation of Philadelphia’s criminal justice reform plan.

Committee members work together with the criminal justice partner agencies to fulfill their commitment to:

  • Reduce the size of the local jail population by 58%.

  • Reduce racial, ethnic, and economic disparities in the criminal justice system.

  • Enhance community safety.

We are committed to making the committee’s membership reflect Philadelphia’s diversity. Members will reflect different races, genders, ages, professions, and geographic areas of the city. Membership will also include individuals who have been directly impacted by the criminal justice system.

We are currently accepting applications for the CAC. Applications will be open until April 1, 2021. Click here to apply.
