The Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity (PLSE) is a local nonprofit that provides free legal advice and representation to low-income Philadelphia residents who are held back by their criminal records, seeking expungements and pardons and leading systemic reform.
In October 2021, PLSE launched its Marijuana Amnesty Project in hopes to expunge as many marijuana-related convictions as possible through the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons’ Expedited Review Program for Non-Violent Marijuana-Specific Convictions. In partnership with the Philadelphia CannaBusiness Association, a nonprofit focused on addressing the harms caused by the war on drugs and cannabis prohibition, PLSE is organizing an expungement clinic to further their project’s goals.
Those who may qualify for an expungement are asked to fill out this pre-registration, then meet us at First Presbyterian Church to begin your intake and expungement process.
