New Funding Opportunity: Black Community Leaders Fund

Application Deadline June 17, 2022

Philadelphia Foundation's Black Community Leaders Fund is now accepting. Click applications to apply. The Black Community Leaders grant program supports organizations that are Black-led (chief executive or board chair identifies as Black), that have demonstrated commitment to Black inclusion and leadership and that serve predominantly Black communities. Grant amounts will be calculated based on an organization’s operating budget. While grant minimum and maximums have not been set, we anticipate making grants between $5,000 and $100,000 depending on an organization’s operating needs. The Fund supports:

  • Greater stability in nonprofit internal leadership, finances and operations;

  • Stronger capability of nonprofits to assess their impact on communities served; and

  • Broader ability of nonprofits to weather challenges.

Ultimately, our hope is that Black-led, Black-serving nonprofits will be adequately resourced to deliver services to residents, contributing to a more vibrant, equitable Greater Philadelphia. To learn more about the Black Community Leaders Fund, click here.
