The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) are requesting information on the public’s experience with housing applications and background check processes, or “tenant screening.” FTC and CFPB need to hear from you in order to prevent discriminatory practices from restricting our housing futures.
Be sure to submit your comment at our new site with Upturn and People’s Tech Project, Stop Tenant Screening, or directly to the federal register by May 30, 2023.
