
The Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service is launching a new Community Resource Corps, which connects residents to resources. They’re now accepting applications for their first Corps Members to join their team from October 2021 to August 2022. Corps Members will work part-time conducting outreach, while supporting residents in understanding their eligibility and completing resource applications. “We welcome Members with diverse experiences and identities. We welcome people impacted by mass incarceration and people formerly incarcerated. People with most types of convictions are eligible. People convicted for sex crimes or murder are ineligible, due to federal requirements. We're looking for Members who are: + Activists and organizers in their own community. + People interested in making a difference and becoming a leader in their neighborhood. + Committed to work specific shifts to complete 1,200 hours over a minimum service term of 10 months.”
