The Adult Reentry Program is designed for incarcerated individuals who are 18 and older. Applicants must be within 20-180 days of their release date, returning to a Philadelphia address, and must not have a sex crime on their record (other than prostitution). During enrollment, applicants will be assigned a Case Manager who will work with them before and after release. This person offers referrals/resources/support, an opportunity to gain an industry recognized credential, and information on how to further their education. Also, participants have access to an employment specialist to help them seek jobs.
The Young Adult Reentry Program is for young adults between the ages of 18-24. Applicants must live in the Philadelphia area, have a criminal justice background OR be a high school drop-out. Participants in this program will be assigned a Case Manager to assist with obtaining identification documents, transportation, court advocacy, connections to educational opportunities (GED/High School equivalency) and submitting referrals to additional services. In addition, these participants can also gain an industry recognized credential and have the option to work with OIC’s employment specialist to seek job opportunities. If you or someone you know is interested in the OIC program, please email Briyana Freeman at bfreeman@philaoic.org.
