The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center is reaching out with their partners CSH and Luken Solutions, with support from the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance, are hosting an exciting housing webinar series. Housing is fundamental to good outcomes for people with justice involvement, but not everyone knows where to begin, who to talk to, etc. The series will equip state and local justice system leaders with the tools for meaningful collaboration with housing, behavioral health, and other key partners to fully leverage available funding to provide and develop housing for people leaving the justice system.
The series builds on the foundation of the CSG Justice Center’s framework released late last year, Action Points: Four Steps to Expand Access to Housing for People in the Justice System with Behavioral Health Needs.
Primary target audience: Key justice system leaders and staff from state and local corrections, sheriffs’ departments, parole and probation, courts, criminal justice coordinators, reentry providers, etc. Additional audiences: Behavioral health administrators and staff, health care providers, housing stakeholders such as Continuums of Care and Public Housing Authorities, state and local government representatives (elected officials, County Administrators/Managers, budget staff, etc.) and other interested social service agencies.
Each webinar will be followed at a later date by an Office Hours session, which will allow attendees to apply the lessons of the webinars and explore the topics in more depth. Attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions to community experts and subject matter experts as well as receive hands-on technical assistance in a structured format.
All webinars will take place at 11am (pacific). People can register at the links below:
